GoalIn some Cisco environments VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP) is used by the Cisco switches to propagate Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) definitions. This may lead to Cisco VTP multicast storms when switches of other vendors get connected. This document describes how to deal with Cisco VTP multicast storms on a Sun 10 Gigabit Ethernet Switch.
