Goal

The goal of this document is to provide a guidance on how to verify LUN properties on Sun Storage 7000 Unified Storage System. It will provide the steps needed to check the initiator group and target group, and to make sure your LUN is presented correctly to your initiator host.

Solution

1. Log on to the appliance CLI:

2. Check LUN name by running following commands. The following example assumes that your LUN is in "default" project.

targetgroup indicates the target group this LUN belongs to. The IQN you should be specifying referring to this LUN is in iscsitgrp1 target group on this appliance.

initiatorgroup indicates the initiator group this LUN belongs to. Only the hosts with IQNs that belongs to iscsi_ig1 can see this LUN
