System should be powered off prior to service.
- WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
Remove
1 Prepare the server for service. See How to Prepare for Service.
2 Remove the power supply. See How to Remove the Power Supply.
3 Reference the following illustration for this procedure.
4 Disconnect the three power supply cables from the motherboard.
5 Disconnect the power supply cable from the hard drive backplane and push the cable through the cutout in the chassis divider.
6 Loosen the captive screw that secures the power supply to the chassis.
7 Lift the power supply out of the chassis.
Install
1 Reference the following illustration for this procedure.
2 Insert the power supply into the chassis with the cable bundle toward the front of the server.
3 To secure the power supply to the chassis, fully tighten the captive screw.
4 Route the HD/SSD power cable through the opening in the chassis divider.
5 Connect three of the power supply cables to the motherboard.
6 Connect the power supply cable to the hard disk backplane.
7 Install the power. See How to Install the Power Supply.
8 Prepare the server for operation. See How to Prepare for Operation.
OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
