FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS
WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?
C4 library needs to be offline to the server and software application.
WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
Refer to the C4 Field Service Manual for further details to the actions below.
To remove a power supply:
1. Determine which power supply is to be replaced, and turn off its power switch.
Note:
Power supply failures are reported by the remote web management GUI (see Status on page 75). The power supply also has a light indicator that will turn amber when a fault has occurred.
2. Loosen the captive screw at the top right of the power supply using a flat blade screwdriver.
3. Pull on the power supply handle to remove the power supply from the chassis (see figure 87).
4. Slide the replacement power supply into the power supply bay and tighten the captive screw.
5. Turn on the power supply.
The power supply replacement is complete.
OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:
Library need to be brought back online to the host and software application.
