FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS
WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?
C4 Library needs to be taken offline from the software application and server.  Library should then be powered off.
WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:

Refer to the C4 (PX500 Series) Field Service Guide for complete details on the following actions.

To remove and replace the system control board:
1. Turn off the C4 (PX500 Series) (see Turning Off the Library on page 45).
2. From the back of the library, disconnect all Ethernet and SCSI cables from the system controller board and note their locations for later re-installation.
3. Loosen the captive screws and pull the system controller board from the library chassis (see figure 84).
4. Install the replacement system control board and tighten the captive screws.

The system control board replacement is complete. You must configure the system with an IP address via the OCP (see Setup Screen on page 58).


OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:
Power on library.  Bring C4 library online to the server and the software application.  Verify the library is available to customer.
