WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE
RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?
Refer to the following solution prior to do a manual removal of the tape cartridge.
C2 - How to Remove a Logically Stuck Tape From C2 Library (Doc ID 1372717.1)

Library needs to be offline to the server and software application.  The library will need to be powered off.
WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:

The following steps should be followed to determine if other factors are involved in causing the lodged tape.
- Verify that the autoloader or bus is properly terminated. Does the termination match the bus?
- Is the power source for the autoloader good? Try other sources if possible.
- If other devices are on the bus, are they powered on? Were any of these devices powered off while on an
   active bus?
- SCSI devices/bus reset and eject commands attempted?
- Device itself was powered off and on?

Refer to the C2 Autoloader Lodged Tape Removal (SDLT600 and LTO-3) Guide for complete instructions to resolve this issue.
