TIME ESTIMATE: 60 minutes
FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS
WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :
The customer should conduct an orderly software and system shutdown.
System power off is required.
WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
1. Power off the server, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the server from the electrical outlet.
2. Remove the screws securing the I/O board to the hard disk drive (HDD) cage.
3. Pull the I/O board back slightly, then upward to disengage the board from the guides on top of the HDD cage.
4. Remove all cables connected to the I/O board.
5. Position the I/O board on top of the HDD cage so the openings on the board line up with the guides on top of the HDD cage.
6. Reconnect the cables.
7. Gently push the I/O board down to engage the guides and push the board forward to secure it.
8. Fasten the screws to secure the I/O board to the mounting bracket.
9. Check the routing of all cables for obstructions, and then reinstall the cover.
