Goal

How to pull ELOM event logs.

Solution

KMS ELOM report event logs errors under GUI, System Monitoring/Event log Tab.

If errors/warnings exists and require detail analysis they must be pulled off ELOP using ipmitool utility.


Download ipmitool from MOS patches - patch number 10319932.
Tool runs on Windows and Solaris.

Once installed run the following to extract event logs:

# ipmitool -I lan -H <ILOM IP address> -U <ILOM Username> sel elist
# ipmitool -I lan -H <ILOM IP address> -U <ILOM Username> fru
# ipmitool -I lan -H <ILOM IP address> -U <ILOM Username> sensor
# ipmitool -I lan -H <ILOM IP address> -U <ILOM Username> sunoem led get all
# ipmitool -I lan -H <ILOM IP address> -U <ILOM Username> sunoem sbled get
# ipmitool -I lan -H <ILOM IP address> -U <ILOM Username> sdr elist
