Goal

This document defines the location of the utility for upgrading the Sun Storage 2500 series arrays from 06.x to 07.x firmware, along with the documentation for that process.

To upgrade firmware from 06.x to 07.x on the Sun Storage 6000 series, please refer to <Document 1131593.1> Procedure to Upgrade the Sun StorageTek[TM] 6540 Array, 6140 Array or FLX380 Storage Array from Firmware 06.xx to 07.xx.

Solution

You first need to download and read carefully the procedure in the Sun StorageTek 2500 Series Array Firmware Upgrade Guide document.

Then you need to download the Sun StorageTek 25xx Series Firmware Upgrade Utility and proceed with the instructions in the upgrade guide.

The above Sun StorageTek 25xx Series Firmware Upgrade Utility includes all supported bundles for platforms that the utility may be installed upon.
