FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS

PROBLEM OVERVIEW:
Array firmware upgrade required

WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :
Collect explorer/extractor
Customer to perform backups as a precaution

WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:

Require StorADE on laptop or access to StorADE on customer host
Download latest upgrade ISO image from reference site below. Review matrix.

Use Storage GUI Manager -> Service -> Revision Maintenance -> Create Patch Report -> Select Patches and select individual components to apply the patches in the below order.

1. Apply Service Processor Patches
2. Apply Array Firmware Patches
3. Apply Disk Firmware Patches

OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE

WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:
