WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :
This is a redundant component therefore no system shutdown is required. Full verified backups are recommended for all data on the array to be serviced.
WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
Follow standard ESD precautions.
Follow procedures documented in the respective service documentation listed below. Note that the documentation for the SE6x20 product includes cases for standalone SE6120 enclosures and how to handle an array chassis mounted in a Maserati rack. The customer may have to re-register a standalone array with their management software.
