FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS
WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :
A data backup is not a pre-requisite but is a wise precaution.
The customer should conduct an orderly software system shutdown.
Then power down the system and disconnect the Power Cord.
WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
Removing the Drives Backplane
Remove the drives cage.
Remove the two No. 2 Phillips screws securing the backplane to the drives cage.
Slide the backplane down and off the drives cage retention hooks.
Place the drives backplane on an antistatic mat.
Installing the Drives Backplane
Slide the backplane under the retention hooks on the drives cage.
Install the two No. 2 Phillips screws that secure the backplane to the drives cage.
Install the drives cage.
OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:
