WHAT SKILLS DOES THE ENGINEER NEED:(IS A SITE ENGINEER AVAILABLE?)
SE3000 series training. Use normal ESD procedures
TASK COMPLEXITY: 3
TIME ESTIMATE: 45 minutes
FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS
PROBLEM OVERVIEW:
Failed power supply
WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :
Given the array comes with a power redundancy feature, no special care is needed prior to this operation.Confirm alternate power supply is working OK
WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
1. Check if the input power cord is connected and firmly seated and that the power switch is in the "ON" position.
Confirm faulted power supply (PS) by checking LED (no LED or an amber light) , position (Left or right) and array events messages
PSU 0 (left) PSU1 (right)
healthy power supply has green solid LED from the rear view

2. Verify type of power source (AC or DC) available and type of power supply (AC or DC) received.
3. Gently remove the power cord of the PSU to be replaced
4. Unscrew the bracket screw that secures the PS in its slot
5. Slowly but firmly remove the power supply taking extra care of any cable that could be accidentally pulled loose
6. WAIT at least ONE minute (use your watch !) prior to inserting the new PS
7. Gently plug in the new PS in its slot
8. Secure the PS in its slots by screwing the green bracket screw
9. insert firmly the power cord in the PS.
10. Secure the PS with the collar if necessary.
11. Confirm the solid green LED on the PS
12. Confirm the disappearance of the fault LED in the front panel of the array
13. Check array events log or status of FRUs and confirm both power supplies have a status of OK/good .
