FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS
PROBLEM OVERVIEW:
LED and Reset Switch panel failed or defective.
WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :
Suspend all I/O activity. Power off the array (both power supply modules mus be turned off).
WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
1. Power off both power supply modules.
2. Remove the front Bezel and right ear cap:
2.a. Unlock the front bezel with the provided key.
2.b. Grasp the front bezel cover on both sides and pull it forward and then down.
2.c. Press the right bezel arm (hinge) toward the left side to release it from the chassis hole. The left bezel arm also disengages.
2.d. Note the locationof the chassis bezel holes on each ear.
2.e. Remove the plastic cap from the right ear of the array:
2.e.i. Squeeze both sides of the cap at the top and the bottom.
2.e.ii. Turn the cap toward the center of the array until it disengages and pull it free.
3. Remove the LED Module
3.a. Remove the two panhead screws holding the LED module to the bracket.
3.b. Carefully detach the LED module from the ribbon cable by pulling out the cable lock drawer and sliding the LED module free.
4. Install the New LED Module
4.a. Pullout the cable lock drawer on the new LED module.
4.b. Place the new LED module against the bracket and carefully slide the ribbon cable into the cable lock drawer.
4.c. Close the cable lock drawer to reconnect the cable to the LED module.
4.d. Insert the panhead screws through the LED module and attach the LED module to the chassis.
5. Replace the ear cap and front bezel:
5.a. Push the top and buttom of the ear caponto the ear, pressing in on the top side toward the center of the array until the ear cap snaps into place.
5.b. Insert the bezel arms into the chassis holes.
5.c. Lift the dezel into position and press it onto the front of the chassis until it is flush with the front.
5.d. Lock the bezel in the closed position with the keys.
5.e. Remove the keys if they were not initially inserted into the chassis.
OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:
Power on the array (both power supply modules must be turned on).
Confirm array is healthy. From sccli > sh config
Resume I/O activity.
