FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS

PROBLEM OVERVIEW: CSM200 PCU has been identified as faulty.

WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :

NOTE: Please make sure that the PCU part is second edition p/n 300-2319

WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:

Before beginning the repair procedure below, deactivate ASR temporarily so that additional Service Requests are not created.
After completing the repair procedure, reactivate ASR. Refer to <Document 1508403.1> ASR Deactivation / Reactivation via My Oracle Support.

 
1. Push the power switch on the failed power-fan assembly to the "Off" position.
2. Unplug the power cord from the failed power-fan assembly.
3. If power-fan assembly "A" is being replaced lift the latch/handle up to unlock the power-fan assembly and pull the power-fan assembly out of the tray. If power-fan assembly "B" is being replaced pull the latch/handle down to unlock the power-fan assembly and pull the power-fan assembly out of the tray.
4. Insert the new power supply
5. Plug the power cord into the new PCU
6. Turn the power switch to the ON position
7. The Green power LED should be On

OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE

WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:
1. Verify That no critical faults exist on the system
2. If applies, reactivate ASR.
