Shutdown applications & stop all IO to array in a single controller configuration before replacement

WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
Check LED on battery

SINGLE CONTROLLER ARRAY
1. Verify with customer that all IO to storage array has been stopped
2. Power off array
3. Remove ethernet & serial cables from RAID controller
4. Unscrew & disengage thumbscrews on RAID controller & use thumbscrews to pull out controller
5. Disconnect battery connector & loosen screws on the underside of controller to release battery module
6. Install replacement battery module, tighten screws on underside & re-attach connector
7. Re-install RAID controller & tighten thumbscrews
8. Re-attach ethernet & serial cables
9. Power on array

DUAL CONTROLLER ARRAY
1. Log in to array via serial shell
2. Force fail controller which requires battery replacement
Main Menu -> View and edit Peripheral Devices -> Set Peripheral Device Entry -> Redundant Controller Primary -> Force [Primary / Secondary] Controller ***Select appropriate controller (Primary or Secondary)

From sccli> fail primary (or secondary)
3. Remove ethernet & serial cables from RAID controller that is in failed status (Amber LED) NOTE: Primary controller should have blinking green LED
4. Unscrew & disengage thumbscrews on RAID controller & use thumbscrews to pull out controller
5. Disconnect battery connector & loosen screws on underside of controller to release battery module
6. Install replacement battery module, tighten screws on underside & re-attach connector
7. Re-install RAID controller & tighten thumbscrews
8. Re-attach ethernet & serial cables
