PROBLEM OVERVIEW:
How to replace a Clock board

WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :

The customer should conduct an orderly software and system shutdown.
System power off is required.

WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
*** Follow standard ESD procedures to avoid Electrostatic Discharge

1. Unfasten cable connectors from the clock+ board front panel and set them aside

2. Loosen the two captive screws securing the board to the system chassis

3. Pull the ends of both extraction levers outward simultaneously to release the board from the centerplane receptacles

4. If you are replacing the clock+ board, remove the TOD NVRAM from the old board and place it on the new board.
*** This is necessary to match the host ID with the Ethernet ID.

5. Use the extraction levers to seat the replacement board.
Simultaneously swing both levers into the locked position. Do not press on board front panel to seat it---doing so will damage the connector pins.

6. Secure the board to the chassis using the two captive screws, one on each side

7. Connect any applicable interface cables to the front panel of the board
