How to replace a V215/V245 Indicator Board Assy

*FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS*

PROBLEM OVERVIEW:
Faulty Indicator Board needs replacement.

WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :

A data backup is not a pre-requisite but is a wise precaution.
The customer should conduct an orderly software system shutdown.

WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:

1. Power off the server
2. Remove the rear cover
3. Remove the front bezel after unfastening the bezel's securing screw
4. Remove the front cover.
5. Remove the two screws that secure the front indicator board to the chassis
6. Remove the front indicator board.
Slide the board to the right to disconnect it from the front I/O board.
7. Place front indicator board on an antistatic mat.
8. Installation is the reverse of this procedure

WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:

Boot and check for full functionality.
