How to replace a V245 Disk Drive Fan Tray Connector Board

V245 product knowledge/training to be qualified as Oracle service personel.
TIME ESTIMATE: 30 minutes

*FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS*
PROBLEM OVERVIEW:
Disk Fan Tray Connector Board is faulty.
WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :
A data backup is not a pre-requisite but is a wise precaution
Customer should conduct an orderly software system shutdown
Power down System & disconnect Power Cords
WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
Follow standard ESD procedures to avoid Electrostatic Discharge
1. Power off the system
2. Remove the rear cover.
3. Remove the hard drive fan tray.
4. Remove the two screws.
These screws attach the fan tray cage to the chassis of the server.
5. Remove the hard drive fan tray cage.
6. Disconnect the cable from connector J1
This cable connects connector J1 on the hard drive fan tray connector board to
connector J6 on the power distribution board.
7. Remove the screw.
This screw secures the hard drive fan tray connector board to the chassis.
8. Remove the hard drive fan tray connector board.
9. Unpackage the replacement hard drive fan tray connector board and place it on
an antistatic mat.
10. Install the hard drive fan tray connector board
11. Install the screw.
This screw secures the board to the chassis.
12. Connect the cable between the hard drive fan connector board and the power
distribution board.
This cable connects connector J1 on the hard drive fan tray connector board to
connector J6 on the power distribution control board.
13. Install the hard drive fan tray cage
14. Install the two screws.
These screws secure the hard drive fan tray cage to the chassis.
15. Install the hard drive fan tray.
OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:
Boot the system and start the application as per the sys admin procedure
