WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :
A data backup is not a pre-requisite but is a wise precaution. System needs to be shutdown by customer.
NOTE: When a server is power cycled with DVD media installed, the message "Device is gone" may be displayed approximately 30 minutes after the OS is booted up. Ignore the message, no DVD replacement is needed. This is a known issue (CR6840287) on page 8 of the T5120/T5220 server Product Notes http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19637-01/E21877/E21877.pdf.
