FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS
PROBLEM OVERVIEW:

This Fault Symptom Code indicates a SFP failure.

CONFIRM THE FAULT BY CHECKING:
Fault code on SVP

WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :
Normal state and ensure host is multipathed to ensure connectivity to host is not lost

WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:

Replace the failed SFP indicated in the SIM following the SVP and Maintenance Manual instructions

CONFIRM THE FIX BY:

OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE

WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:
possible needs to do a luxadm -e forcelip to bring the path back online from the host
