PROBLEM OVERVIEW: Battery Expiration

CONFIRM THE FAULT BY CHECKING:
Check manufacturing date at indicated FRU Location and at SVP

WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :
Online and in Normal status

WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
1. Visually check the batteries on the array to determine if replacement needed.  This must be done by field personnel and cannot be determined by an autodump analysis.  The batteries must be physically inspected.
2. Visually check manufacturing date on batteries
3. Replace Expired Battery (indicated in FRU Location) following SVP and Maintenance Manual instructions.
4. Working from the SVP : Modify -> install -> Setting battery Life -> Set number of days remaining
5. If batteries were replaced, set battery life warning SIM to 810 days (gives 3 months warning)
Note: If battery manufacturing date is past or within 3 month warning a replacement is needed.
6. Confirm Replacement complete SIM.

CONFIRM THE FIX BY:
Ensure the date has been set for the new batteries via the SVP.
