The engineer should be M8000/M9000 trained TASK COMPLEXITY: 2 TIME ESTIMATE: 150 minutes FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? : A data backup is not a pre-requisite but is a wise precaution. The customer is not required to perform a system shutdown unless opting for 'Cold Replacement' WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE: Cold Replacement: 1) Change the mode switch setting on the operator panel from Locked to Service. 2) Following either method a) or b) shutdown and power off all domains. a) Press and hold the POWER switch on the operator panel for at least four seconds. b) Log in to XSCF and run the poweroff -a command. 3) Confirm that the power-off processing is completed by confirming that the POWER LED (green) on the operator panel is off. 4) Switch off all main line switches for the AC section (ACS) in the power supply system. 5) Once the replacement is complete switch on all main line switches for the AC section (ACS) in the power supply system. 6) Once the replacement is complete check the status to ensure no further fru's are in degraded or faulted status.
