How to Resolve Robotics Failure in 4410/9310/L5510 Library:ATR:1301336.1:2

Solution

PROBLEM OVERVIEW: Robotics Failure

WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :
Customer vary the LSM offline and vary drives attached to the LSM offline.

Time Estimate: 120 minutes

WHAT ACTION NEEDS TO BE TAKEN:
CONFIRM THE FAULT BY CHECKING:

1. Check for stuck tape in hand and/or unsafe reach.
    Remove cartridge as necessary.

2. Check gripper for possible broken taps and replace if broken.  If defective, refer to:

3. Check hand assembly for smooth operation and sensor operation. If defective, refer to:

4. If Z Motor assembly is defective, replace the Z motor per Maintenance Manual instructions.

5. Check Shear pin for wear and replace as necessary.

6. Check turns counter for proper setting per Maintenance Manual instructions

CONFIRM THE FIX BY: Verifying LSM is back online and operational.

WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:
Customer vary LSM and Drive(s) attached to LSM online and check for functionality.
