PROBLEM OVERVIEW:
Firmware upgrade needed on L180/L700e/L1400 library

WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :
Obtain the equipment from the customer and vary off-line all of the affected libraries and drives.

WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
Verify library firmware level using Op Panel on library:
-Acquire current level of firmware from the Systems Assurance Center:

-Upgrade library firmware using code load instructions.

-Re-initialize library with new code.

- Confirm LXXXX and all transports are functional.

WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:
Customer needs to bring up Library and all transports and confirm functionality.
