Solution
DISPATCH INSTRUCTIONS
WHAT SKILLS DOES THE ENGINEER NEED?:
Engineer has to complete the OPL system training
TASK COMPLEXITY: 1
TIME ESTIMATE: 15 minutes
FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS
WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :
The fan units are active replacement components. To maintain maximum redundancy only one fan module should be removed at a time.
WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
1) Log in to XSCF and execute the replacefru command. ( Must have fieldeng permissions )
2) Select FAN.
3) Select the number of the faulted FAN.
4) Perform the operation according to the instructions displayed in the maintenance menu.
5) Once the replacement is complete check the status to ensure no further fru's are in degraded or faulted status.
XSCF> showhardconf -M
XSCF> showstatus
6) Restart domains if needed.
OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:
Check for all the domains are up and running fine
