FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS:
- PROBLEM OVERVIEW:
Faulty Internal Cable
- WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE
RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?:
The customer should conduct an orderly software system shutdown.
System powered off is required.
- WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
*** Follow standard ESD procedures to avoid Electrostatic Discharge
Check the V880/V890 Service manual to see the location of all cable connection and routing.
1. Power off the system
2. Open and remove a side door
3. Replace the appropriate cable from the cable kit, ensuring that the cable is correctly aligned and seated.
4. Close a side door
5. Power on the system
OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
- WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO
AN OPERATIONAL STATE:
Verify the LED status
Restart the applications
