Applies to:Sun Fire E2900 Server - Version Not Applicable and laterSun Fire 4800 Server - Version Not Applicable and later Sun Fire 3800 Server - Version Not Applicable and later Sun Fire 4810 Server - Version Not Applicable and later Sun Fire 6800 Server - Version Not Applicable and later Information in this document applies to any platform. GoalThis document will clarify the support policy for Daylight Savings Time (DST) for the Midrange platforms listed in this article. FixThese Platforms are in End of Life (EOL) status. In this status, only software defects are being remedied within System Controller Application (ScApp). DST changes are not software defects and there is also a reasonable workaround to adjust for these time changes. Workaround:The use of GMT offsets is suggested for regions that have changed since Olsen tzdata2008i to maintain proper time on the System controller. Use the command, 'setdate [-v] -t GMT <+|-> offset-from-GMT', which is documented in the Command Reference Manual to adjust to GMT on the SC as needed. It is also strongly suggested that Solaris DST patches be applied on the platform domain(s) to keep it's time in sync with any changes to DST throughout the world (Solaris DST updates continue to be made in most versions).
