-Major SL8500 release.
-Designed to eliminate single point of failure.
-Duplicate HBC/HBT/HBS cards which fail over in pairs.
-Minimally disruptive code upgrades.
-Hli Compat_23 will support upgraded switch commands in complex.
Prerequisite:
The minimum code level for Redundant Electronics on the SL8500 is FRS_6.0 & SLC_4.75. If the library being upgraded is not at FRS_6.0 or higher, then upgrade the code to the latest available firmware before starting this upgrade.
Update 3-Jan-2013
New RE Installation Instructions - The Redundant Electronics installation instructions have been revised and EC released. They will eventually be in new RE kits. The revised instructions are attached and they can be used immediately. Please note the prerequisite on the first page that requires 6.07 or higher code before beginning. The instructions include steps to bring your code to your desired level on both HBCR cards but they assume you are at least running 6.07. Make sure all other minimum versions of related products are satisfied.
