Goal
Troubleshooting PDU Power Supply Status Problems.
( Power Distribution Unit )
Solution
The following actions should be done with the library offline.
Refer to actions below to troubleshoot PDU PS status issues:
PDU status signals to the HBX card:
-Cable with PN_4196045-01 routes up from the pdu_1 and the phase_a signal is on pin_11 and on pin_5 p306.
-Connects with cable PN_4196208-01 up to the HBX card via connector p208/209
Recommend:
-Check and reseat the cable w/ pn_4196208-01 at both ends; p306/307 at the bulkhead next to the pdu and connectors p208/209 at the HBX card.
-If no issues are found swap cable at both ends and recheck status information in an attempt to verify the cable.
-Check for bent pins on the HBX card connector; p208/209.
-Check mid plane connector for HBX card for bent pins.
-Swap HBX card with another library.
-The cable harness associated with the back of the PDU would be a significant effort to check and replace. I would only look at this cable if no other issues are found.
To gain access to pn_4196208-01:
-if standalone library; remove DEM side cover and access plate and drop the ECM.
-if PTP connected; remove arrays on rail_3 column 3 and 4, remove access panel.
