If sdpAlias is not loaded on the site server contact SDP support.
-Root password for both the SL8500 and SDP server is required for procedure.
(SL8500 root password is only available to Level 2 Tape Hardware Support)
(contact SDP support if password is not known for SDP site server)
-If site has more than one ACS per SDP site server we need to configure an alias to re-address port_1A via the root password.
-SDP support will provide site name and site id.
-Use Motive Insight to perform device query to find site.
-Select Site Server and login via SSH.
-Login id-'stkcse'
-Password-xxxxxxx (contact SDP support if password is not known)
-At SDP menu select 7 for SDP prompt.
-Should be in the /home/stkcse directory and file named "sdpAlias" should have been copied there by sdp support.
-Secure copy file named "sdpAlias" to /usr/local/bin
"scp sdpAlias root@10.0.11.1:/usr/local/bin"
-Enter root password at prompt; copy should complete and status presented as 100%. (SL8500 root password is only available to Level 2 Tape Hardware Support)
-Login into sl8500
"ssh root@10.0.11.1"
-Enter root password at prompt: (SL8500 root password is only available to Level 2 Tape Hardware Support)
-Change directory to /usr/local/bin; the same directory sdpAlias was copied to.
"cd /usr/local/bin"
-Verify no alias exist
"sdpAlias show sl8500"
-Add alias
"sdpAlias add sl8500 x y"
(x=2nd octet of target ip address; example 10.x.11.1)
(y=last octet of target ip address; example 10.3.11.y)
-Verify new alias.
"sdpAlias show sl8500"
