Goal

This document describes the requirements and driver availability information for the Low Voltage Differential Sun StorEdge[TM] PCI Dual Ultra 3 SCSI Host Adapter (HBA).

Solution

The minimum supported operating system is Solaris 8 with the Recommended Patch Cluster. The necessary driver for this HBA is not included in Solaris 8 or Solaris 9.

Below are the the patch for the qus driver.

112697-05 for Solaris 8 
112706-05 for Solaris 9 
119555-04 for Solaris 10

To Download and Install the Driver packages,

Go to My Oracle Support.
Click on "Patches & Updates".
Enter the patch number "10297548" under "Patch Name or Number".
Click on "Search".
The search result will return the "StorEdge PCI Dual Ultra3 SCSI Host Adapter" package that you can download.
Download the required packages and files, choosing between 32 bit and 64 bit according to your configuration.

The package includes the following files for 32 and 64 bits.

For a 32-bit configuration download the following two files.

SUNWqus.tar.Z
SUNWqusu.tar.Z

For a 64-bit configuration download the following four files (both 32 and 64 bit drivers must be installed).

SUNWqus.tar.Z
SUNWqusu.tar.Z
SUNWqusx.tar.Z
SUNWqusux.tar.Z
