Description
Running prtdiag gives the wrong FRU part number for the onboard SOC+ fiberchannel ports in sbus slot 13.
The output of prtdiag can mislead engineers and customers into selecting the wrong part number information. Part number appears as 501-3060 which is an SBUS card 1Gigabit/Sec SBus Dual FC Host Adapter (FC100/S) however actual FRU is the IO board with SOC+..

Steps to Follow
Running prtdiag command on an E3500, E4500, E6500 ( Also E3000, E4000, E5000) can mislead one into thinking the fiberchannel SOC+ (socal) is a separate SBUS card.
Sample IO section output from /usr/platform/sun4u/sbin/prtdiag -v

IO Cards
     Bus Freq
Brd Type MHz Slot Name Model
--- ---- ---- ---------- -------------------------------- ----------------------
1 SBus 25 3 SUNW,hme
1 SBus 25 3 SUNW,fas/sd (block)
1 SBus 25 13 SUNW,socal/sf (scsi-3) 501-3060
3 SBus 25 3 SUNW,hme
3 SBus 25 3 SUNW,fas/sd (block)
3 SBus 25 13 SUNW,socal/sf (scsi-3) 501-3060

The CLUE here is that the slot indicated is slot 13.
An SBUS card can only plug into a slot number 0,1 or 2.

Referencing the Sun System handbook for an E3500 it currently lists the following IO boards that have built in SOC+ ports:

X2611A [S] 501-4266 [F] SBus I/O Board with SOC+
X2612A [S] 501-4883 [F] SBus I/O Board with SOC+
X2622A [S] 501-4884 [F] Graphics I/O Board with SOC+

Conclusion:
Please ensure the correct FRU part is ordered if replacing the socal (SOC+) board.

Also note: When troubleshooting socal or SOC + errors please consider that these are hot plug slots that can contain a GBIC module, Failing GBICS can sometime cause socal errors.
