PreviouslyPublishedAs 229147 Applies to:Sun StorageTek SL8500 Modular Library System - Version Not Applicable and laterSun StorageTek SL3000 Modular Library System - Version Not Applicable and later All Platforms GoalSL8500 & SL3000 Host IP Address Conflict The SL8500 & SL3000 IP addresses and Host IP address can be configured with an IP address which conflicts with the internal LAN resulting in IPL errors, initialization errors, and Cli Error Number 3032. These errors will potentially prevent some of the library sub-assemblies from coming online to the Library Controller. The Host IP address conflict can occur with the library IP addresses assigned to Port_2B, Port_2A, and Host IP addresses used for HSC and ACSLS. SolutionInformation to address the Host IP Address Conflict: SL8500 & SL3000 Host IP Address Conflict The following block of IP addresses should not be configured for the Host IP Interface on the SL8500 HBC card and the Host IP addresses associated with ACSLS and HSC. Consider the following range of IP addresses reserved for the SL8500 and not for customer use: Restricted Address range is: 10.0.0.0 - 10.0.11.255
Note: The first usable customer IP address is: 10.0.12.0.
