Steps to Follow
The SL500 library is a rack-mountable library that requires a standard 483-mm (19-in.) rack or cabinet for installation.
Most racks contain units of measure which are called U's. Each 'U' is equal to 44.5 mm (1.75 in.) and appear as a 3-hole pattern on the frame of the rack. Each SL500 library module requires 8U's in height. The Installation Manual, PN96114, provides detailed instructions about where to install rack hardware and the adjustable brackets.

The rack can be ordered from Oracle/STK or from another vendor. The Oracle/STK Tek F40 rack feature code is CBNT F40:

- With front door, part number 314074001
- Without front door, part number 314075001
