Goal


Can STK firmware be placed into IBM LTO sold drive to allow usage in STK libraries?
 Firmware upgrade to IBM sold LTO drive.
 IBM LTO Drive
 IBM LTO Fibre


Solution


IBM LTO drives sold by IBM have separate code that does not support STK libraries. The IBM firmware will NOT allow STK firmware versions to be loaded into the drive. This is working as designed.
