Goal

The goal of this document is to show how to obtain Brocade switch port ID

Solution

Step 1

Telnet into the switch/Defaults are (Username = "admin", Password = "password")

Step 2

Type "nsshow" command

Command: nsshow Example:

The Local Name Server has 1 entries [ Type Pid COS PortName NodeName TTL(sec)

N 011f00; 3;10:00:00:e0:02:21:e3:ef; 10:00:00:e0:02:01:e3:ef; na
FC4s: FCP [SEAGATE ULTRIUM06242-XXX1360]
Fabric Port Name: 20:0f:00:60:69:10:6a:c8

Step 3

The port id of the switch for the device you are binding is the PortID

Example from above:

011f00
