Goal

What is the difference between a longwave and shortwave VCF card that is used in the VSM product?

Solution

The transceiver on the shortwave card is LED driven while the transceiver on the longwave card is laser driven.

Note: Longwave and Shortwave cards/SFPs cannot be mixed within the same circuit.
