Goal

SL500 - Changing the IP Address through local Op Panel.

Solution

Steps to Follow
Changing the IP address can be done via the local SL500 Op Panel on the library itself.  If the SL500 doesn't have the local Op Panel, a CSE will be needed to have this reset via the CLI port.

Procedure to Change IP address from OP PANEL :
Login as Service  -- Properties -- Select Network Icon on left -- touch the block showing IP address, mask, gateway & input the new values, Then Save Changes.

Refer : SL500 Local Operator Panel Guide (Attached)

Note:
When changing the IP via the local Op Panel, one must enter the IP address along with the Gateway address.  If this is not done, the RLC card will be disabled and require a replacement card.

The feature is NOT supported using SL Console at this time.

Having the CSE reset the IP address is the preferred method. Use the CLI command 'network IP xx.xx.xx.xx'. Save the change with the 'network restart' command.

Note:

SL500 - Setting IP Address From Front Display Can Cause SL500 With 1300 Code Not to Allow Login From CLI Serial Port or IP Connection (Doc ID 1020964.1)

A Reboot of the library is necessary to enable the changes.
