Goal

Determine what speed the Ethernet management port is running on a switch.

Solution

Login to switch or CP in question, run the following command:

 

> ifmodeshow eth0

The swtich will respond with the current link speed.

Example:
Link mode: negotiated 100baseTx-FD, link ok
