Goal

How long does an ACSLS audit take?
Will an audit rescan the entire library?

Solution

New libraries will not rescan the hardware and each individual tape in the storage cells. The audit process will just query the library's in-memory cartridge inventory. Older libraries will check what is physically in the library. The table below is a table that can be found in the ACSLS manual showing what average audit times are:
