Goal

How to Collect Statistical and Dump Logs From C2 Autoloader.

- WHAT SKILLS DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED:
Familiar with the C2 Autoloader.

- TIME ESTIMATE: 30 minutes

- TASK COMPLEXITY: 0

FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR INSTRUCTIONS:
- PROBLEM OVERVIEW:
C2 Autoloader having hardware problems.  Need to collect error information to determine cause of problem.

- WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE
RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?: 
All work should be stopped to the Autoloader and tape drive.

- WHAT ACTION DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED TO TAKE:
Refer to the attached document for information on collecting dump/ error log information from the C2 Autoloader.

Steps to gather C2 Autoloader log files:

1. Connect to the Ethernet port at the back of the C2 unit.
2. Browse to the SuperLoader IP address. The factory default is Static IP address:
http://192.168.20.128.
Notes:
i. Loader IP address can also be obtained from the SuperLoader3 front panel via the “Configuration” menu.
ii. When using static IP, the host system TCP/IP must be configured to a unique address on the same subnet as
    the loader (i.e. 192.169.20.---).
3. Select the “Error Logs and Diagnostics” menu item in the RMU.
4. You will be prompted for a username and password. Unless the password had been changed by the user, the defaults are as follows:
    For Oracle/STK configured systems:
    Username: guest
    Password: guest
5. Select the “Save Logs” option, directing log output to a text (.txt) file.

OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
- WHAT ACTION DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:
Work can begin again after logs are acquired.
