SolutionNote: It is easier to service the power distribution board with the bus bar assembly attached. 2. Remove the top cover. 3. Remove the motherboard assembly. 4. Remove both power supplies from the chassis. 5. Disconnect the top cover intrusion switch cable connector from the power distribution board. Note: On the Sun SPARC Enterprise T5220, you have to remove four No. 2 Phillips screws that secure the PDB to the power supply backplane, at this point. 7. Remove the No. 2 Phillips screw securing the PDB to the chassis. 8. Grasp the bus bar and pull the PDB/bus bar assembly to the left, away from the paddle card. 9. Lift the PDB/bus bar assembly up and out of the system. To install a power distribution board, reverse this procedure.
10. The Power Distribution replacement FRU contains the Chassis Serial Number. After replacing the power distribution board FRU, to set in the new FRU the electronic chassis serial number, perform the following service commands: Caution – Once the power distribution board is programmed with an electronic chassis serial number, the serial number cannot be changed. When executing the following commands, ensure that you run the commands correctly and that you enter the correct chassis serial number because you will not be able to change it. The chassis serial number is used to obtain product support. Login in to the "admin" account of the Service Processor, then: sc> setsc sc_servicemode true Warning: misuse of this mode may invalidate your warranty. sc> setcsn -c chassis_serial_number Are you sure you want to permanently set the Chassis Serial Number to chassis_serial_number [y/n]? y Chassis serial number recorded. sc> showplatform SPARC-Enterprise-T5120 Chassis Serial Number: chassis-serial-number Domain Status ------ ------ S0 Running sc>setsc sc_servicemode false
