Goal

This document describes how to identify the disk IDs when the ID Selection Switch of the Sun Storage 3510 and 3511 Arrays are set to numbers 0-7. It also explains how to identify the cabling schemes for these devices.

Solution

For more information about the loop IDs of disks in the expansion units of the 3510 and 3511, refer to Section 4.6 of the Sun StorEdge 3000 Family Installation, Operation, and Service Manual. The tables below provides the details about Loop ID of each disk in 8 expansion units, which is the maximum supported configuration.
