SolutionSteps to Follow --------------------------------- The procedure below addresses an intermittent CAP locking problem. The latch assembly in the top of the CAP has a shoulder bolt which can come loose and prevent the CAP assembly from locking properly. If the CAP does not lock the library controller will not attempt any gets or puts to the CAP. All problems to date have been reported as an intermittent CAP problem. The symptoms are the CAP appears to be in the locked position but the CAP "Unlocked" LED stays illuminated and the CAP does not lock. Procedure: * Remove the CAP assembly from the door. Note: DO NOT loctite the shoulder of the bolt and inhibit the movement of the locking lever. The loctite will assist in preventing the bolt from coming loose in the future. * Also check the spring associated with the locking lever, it should provide tension on the locking lever to keep it in the closed position.
