Description

This LED chart will indicate the location and state meaning of each LED on the Sun Fire V240 system.

Solaris is running.

Inlet power is not present or the system is in the Standby state.

Yellow

On rear of system just to the right of AC power cord for PS1, the middle of three LEDs. System front, top left corner of bezel, middle LED.

On

The system has developed a fault requiring service intervention.

Off

The system is functioning correctly with no detected faults.

System Locator

White

On rear of system just to the right of AC power cord for PS1, the bottom of three LEDs. System front, top left corner of bezel, left most of three LEDs.

On

The system is identified as a service target.

Off

The system is not identified as a service target.

PS Active

Green

On PS unit viewable from rear of system. Top of three LEDs in lower right corner.

On

Inlet power is present and the PSU is operating correctly.

Off

Inlet power is not present or the PSU has shutdown due to an internal protection event.

PS

Service-Required

Yellow

On PS unit viewable from rear of system. Middle LED in lower right corner.

The PSU has detected an internal problem.

A hard disk has active SCSI transactions.

NOTE: LED may be off even with system booted to Solaris if there is no disk access.
