Purpose

 This document provides steps to disable the voltage module of syscheck.  This will prevent the system from alarming due to the invalid voltage data.

Details

 The workaround to suppress the voltage alarm is to disable the voltage syscheck module.   To disable this module, the steps are:

1. Login as admusr

2. Disable the voltage syscheck module

   $ sudo syscheckAdm --disable hardware voltage

3. Restart syscheck daemon

   $ sudo restart syscheck

4. Verify that the voltage syscheck module got disabled

   $ sudo syscheck -v hardware voltage

     WARNING: Will not run disabled module: voltage 3.07

     LOG LOCATION: /var/TKLC/log/syscheck/fail_log

5. Clear any exiting voltage alarm

    $ alarmMgr --clear TKSPLATMA16

6. Verify that the alarm is not reported anymore on the GUI and CLI

    $ alarmMgr --alarmStatus

Perform these steps on both (A and B) servers.
