Purpose

This doc indicates how OBP variables are backed up & restored in SPARC ILOM based systems.

Details

The SPARC T5220 & newer SPARC servers contain an ILOM based Service Processor which no longer has the NVRAM which was used in the Sun Fire V240 & other older systems.

Host OBP variables persist across ILOM restoration and are associated with the current saved LDom configuration.  If no LDom configurations have been created, then the host variables will be stored in the factory-default configuration.
