Purpose

This article intends to explain how to read logs of main IXP processes:

  • IxpBuild
  • IxpOperate
  • IxpStore

Scope

This can be used for troubleshooting no data in session or session lagging. 

Details

"Last in / Last out" log looks like:

1119:132400.03  DF1   Last in: 13:23:56 (3), last out: 13:23:35 (14). List size: 285558 [DfThread.cpp:577]
  1. (3) is the time difference in seconds between last in and line time (left)
  2. (14) is the time difference in seconds between last out and line time (left)
  3. 285558 How many PDU (or xDR) in input list of DFP.

That does not necessarily means that xDR are coming out of the process.
