To provide additional information for message ID: UNRESPONSIVE

Details

Type: Hardware Fault

Severity: Critical

Description

Message id UNRESPONSIVE indicates a device which is present in the library is not announcing or heartbeating.

Applicable devices: LOC, LOER, LOS, LOB, LOES, LOD, LOX, ROBOT, Tape Drive

Automated Response

Refer to Library GUI or support bundle for what corrective actions, if any, have been done.

Impact

Device is unresponsive.  Can occur at library power up when a device's presence is detected but the device does not announce, or can occur when a previously functioning device stops heartbeating.

Suggested Action for System Administrators

1) Look at details in GUI or collect support bundle for remote support to identify device(s) in question
    Note: Could be an upstream device causing the issue. 
2) Perform soft reset of device. 
3) If necessary, replace device.

Note: If ASR (Automatic Service Request) has been enabled for this system, a Service Request should already be initiated. If ASR is not enabled and have a valid service contract please contact SL4000 Support to assist in enabling ASR.
